Mike Kaiser

Mike Kaiser spent over thirty years teaching English and Drama. Originally from Manchester, he has lived for thirty three years in Shropshire, where he was Head of English and Theatre Studies at the Sixth Form College in Telford.

For all of that time, he has been active in amateur theatre, winning many awards for acting, writing and directing. He founded the successful BROADS company in his hometown of Broseley and directed their play which won the All-England Theatre Festival. Whilst working in America in the 1980\'s, he acted in semi professional Community Theatre in Lincoln, Nebraska and has also more recently taken Shakespeare to the Punjab.

Having taken early retirement, he now runs a Youth Theatre, works as a guest director, writes plays and organises workshops and residential courses as drama consultant. During the current \'season\' he will direct an open-air version of \'Twelfth Night\', \'Blithe Spirit, \'Our Day Out\', \'Jack and the Beanstalk\', \'Bugsy Malone\' and some one act plays. He is also in rehearsal for the role of Willy Loman in \'Death Of A Salesman\'.

He has just completed a stint as a member of the GODA Council. Recent Festivals have included Brecon, Avon, Larne, Stoke, RAFT A and Area Finals. This year he will visit Isle of Man, Minsterley, Maidenhead, Welwyn, Wakefield, Thurrock and take the Western Division Final.
